Steel-cased diaphragm gas meter
The independent metering movement design primarily consists of a diaphragm, a diaphragm housing, a unidirectional rotary valve distribution system, and a transmission mechanism. The steel casing has undergone a rigorous 500-hour salt-spray corrosion resistance test, ensuring it forms an airtight and fire-resistant protective enclosure. The metering movement’s diaphragm housing is precision-molded from corrosion-resistant engineering plastic. Advanced manufacturing techniques such as ultrasonic bonding and friction welding are employed to securely integrate components like the diaphragm cover bracket into a highly airtight assembly, significantly enhancing both reliability and long-term stability. The synthetic diaphragm is crafted by coating polyester fibers on both sides with adhesive, followed by vulcanization—a process that delivers exceptional flexural performance, enduring up to 3 million cycles without puncture. Additionally, the unit can withstand a total ventilation capacity of up to 4,500 m³ during extended lifespan testing. Meanwhile, the valve seat and valve cover are manufactured using phenolic thermoset plastic molded under high pressure, offering superior wear resistance, minimal water absorption, and consistently low friction coefficients over time. Finally, the transmission system features a unidirectional rotary distribution valve, which simplifies the mechanical structure while boosting overall reliability. To further ensure accuracy, the movement incorporates an anti-reverse device that prevents the counter from reversing unexpectedly.
