On August 25, the 2022 Annual Conference, organized by the Standards Committee of the China City Gas Association, kicked off alongside the "Public Welfare Gas" initiative and the "Focus on Gas Safety, Empower Innovation and Development" Standardization Forum—both events held as scheduled.
On August 25, the 2022 Annual Conference, organized by the Standards Committee of the China City Gas Association, kicked off alongside the launch of the "Public Welfare Gas" initiative and the "Focus on Gas Safety, Empower Innovation and Development" Standardization Forum—all held as scheduled. Shuifa Hangyuxing, a member of the "China City Gas Association Standards Committee," was invited to attend this prestigious event, where it joined industry leaders, product and technology experts, practitioners, and media representatives to engage in discussions, share insights, and exchange valuable experiences.
Li Changying, Secretary-General of the Standardization Committee of the China City Gas Association, chaired the conference. Liu Heming, Chairman of the China City Gas Association, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing, "He who masters standards wins the world." He expressed his hope that the committee would seize the ongoing opportunities for rapid natural gas development, align closely with national policy priorities and the industry's growing demand for gas safety, and strengthen both the strategic planning and the overall standardization framework. Additionally, he urged the committee to enhance the quality and technical sophistication of its standards, providing robust technological support for the gas sector’s digital transformation and intelligent advancement—ultimately paving the way for a new era in the association’s standardization efforts. The forum drew nearly 300 industry professionals, including leaders and experts from gas operation management departments, research institutions, equipment manufacturers, universities, and other relevant organizations. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges focused on advancing and refining standards within the gas industry.
During the conference, Jiang Xinren, a representative from Hangyu Xing who attended the event, delivered a keynote speech on "Engineering Application Research of IoT-Based Temperature- and Pressure-Corrected Remote Meter Reading System for Gas." Through practical examples of building and deploying an IoT-enabled, temperature- and pressure-corrected smart remote meter reading system, he introduced to the attendees the standardized network architecture and information interfaces of intelligent terminal measurement systems. This innovative approach not only facilitates the seamless, automated, and remote collection of data from multiple utility meters—such as water, gas, heat, and electricity—but also enables the integration of these services into a single unified system. Additionally, it ensures secure, reliable, and rapid two-way communication of user metering data, making smart metering fairer, more efficient, safer, and ultimately more beneficial for consumers.
As a smart instrumentation manufacturer with 50 years of expertise in the metrology industry, Hangyu Xing has been actively involved in shaping and advancing industry standards since its establishment. The company has repeatedly contributed to the development of national, industry, and group standards. In 2019, Hangyu Xing served as the lead drafting organization for the industry standard "Electronic Temperature-Pressure Corrected Diaphragm Gas Meter." Building on this success, the China City Gas Association officially launched and implemented its group standard T/CGAS 011-2020, "Electronic Temperature-Pressure Corrected Diaphragm Gas Meter," starting from 2020. Looking ahead, Hangyu Xing will continue collaborating closely with industry organizations and manufacturers, working together to refine and enhance the technical standards system, thereby driving the establishment and advancement of gas industry standards across the board.
