The entire event was conducted online via Tencent Video, with leaders and experts—including Qiu Zhaojun, Director of the National Gas Meter Inspection Center and President of the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Metrology Science, as well as Xu Dongyu, Director of the Metrology Division at the Liaoning Provincial Administration for Market Regulation—attending and delivering speeches.

During the conference, several expert representatives from the gas metering industry and manufacturing companies delivered keynote speeches on various research topics. Among them, Yang Youtao from the Beijing Institute of Metrology and Testing Science shared insights on the 0IML International Recommendation R137 "Gas Meters"—covering gas flow meters, flow measurement technologies, and the future direction of gas meter development—with the attendees. Lu Ke from the Liaoning Provincial Institute of Metrology introduced the risk-monitoring and inter-laboratory comparison activities conducted by the National Inspection Center for Gas Meters. Meanwhile, Xie Weiming from Jinkah Smart Group Co., Ltd. provided a detailed explanation of thermal gas meter technology, while Jiang Zaiguo from Dandong Thermal Instrument Co., Ltd. offered a focused analysis of global gas metering safety technologies and lean manufacturing practices. Throughout the event, the speakers engaged in lively discussions and interactions with participants, effectively fostering greater collaboration and advancement within the gas metering industry.
During the conference, members of the Hangyu Xing R&D Center team attended, and Jiang Xinren, Assistant to the Chief Engineer, delivered a keynote speech on "Research into the Localization of Ultrasonic Gas Meters." He shared with the attendees the global development journey of ultrasonic gas meters, highlighting how domestic standards related to ultrasonic technology for gas metering have been introduced in recent years, as well as the advancements in core technologies. He emphasized that with the implementation of the national standard for ultrasonic gas meters and the growing real-world applications of these products in the market, the next five years are set to become the golden era for the expansion of the ultrasonic gas meter industry.
Meanwhile, he informed the attendees that Hangyu Xing has been strategically investing in the research and development as well as experimentation of ultrasonic metering instruments since 2009. Notably, the company’s fully independently developed ultrasonic "China-made chip" metering module has already succeeded in replacing the industry-standard imported "foreign" modules, filling a critical technology gap in this product category domestically and addressing the longstanding challenge of being stuck in core technological bottlenecks. In addition, Hangyu Xing has secured multiple patent certifications for its advanced innovations in ultrasonic flow channel design, transducer packaging solutions, core metering circuit board design, and embedded software algorithm development—marking the company’s achievement of cutting-edge expertise both domestically and internationally in this field. Currently, all of Hangyu Xing’s comprehensive line of ultrasonic products have received metrological instrument type approval certificates and are now ready for mass production.
