Steel-cased diaphragm gas meter
The independent metering mechanism is primarily composed of a diaphragm, a diaphragm housing, a unidirectional rotary valve distribution system, and a transmission mechanism. The steel casing has undergone a rigorous 500-hour salt-spray corrosion resistance test, ensuring it forms an airtight and fireproof protective enclosure. The metering mechanism’s diaphragm housing is precision-molded from corrosion-resistant engineering plastic. Advanced manufacturing techniques such as ultrasonic bonding and friction welding are employed to securely integrate components like the diaphragm cover bracket into a highly airtight, monolithic structure, significantly enhancing both reliability and long-term stability. The synthetic diaphragm is crafted by coating polyester fibers on both sides with adhesive, followed by vulcanization—a process that delivers exceptional flexural performance, enduring up to 3 million cycles without puncture. It can also withstand a total ventilation capacity of up to 4,500 m³ during extended durability testing. Meanwhile, the valve seat and valve cover are molded from phenolic thermoset plastic, offering superior wear resistance, minimal water absorption, and consistently low friction coefficients over time. Finally, the transmission system features a unidirectional rotary distribution valve, which reduces the number of moving parts while boosting overall reliability. Additionally, the mechanism incorporates an anti-reverse device to prevent the counter from reversing unexpectedly.
